Welcome to the Neighbourhood is an annual summer Project taking place since 2006 in which a group of artists is invited to work in Askeaton, a small village in County Limerick, Ireland. The idea is to develop a work for two weeks in the local context alongside its inhabitants.
My proposal for 2014 was to collaborate with Anita Guinane who has followed each new edition of the event from its inception. Together we visited the places where the artists carried out their works, and through her explanations and some sketches, we recreated a memory of each one of them (or at least those she could remember).
As a result of that collaboration I produced a series of posters based on fragments of the sketches and pasted them in a tunnel in the village.
20 posters, variable dimensions.
