In the summer of 2006 I took part in an art festival in the city of Córdoba, Spain. The conditions were clearly established: the work was to be shown in 5 bus shelters distributed around the city and an edition of five postcards would be distributed for free in different local stores.
The short period of time in the city I was allocated to produce the work (four days), and the high temperatures at that time of the year (end of July) forced me to sort out the work in the city’s newspaper and periodicals library. There, I selected five stories that had taken place in the last 30 years and that could have remained in people’s minds, even though none on them were really relevant. The idea was to temporarily place a short explanation of each story in the advertisement panel of each one of the bus shelters that were located where the stories had taken place. The postcards featured five drawings that described each story and were distributed for free in different areas of the city.
