From the understanding that political cartoonists act as a gauge of social reality, tasked with the job of voicing a personal opinion derived from an event of popular interest, I collaborated with Guy Body of the NZ Herald, and El Fisgón whose work appears in the newspaper La Jornada. The experiment consisted in commissioning an image that had all the aesthetic elements recognizable in their work, but diametrically inverting their point of view: instead of commissioning the cartoonists to comment on current social and political events, I asked them to forget about the reader as the receiver of their work and to analyze and caricature a fact in their lives that only they would be able to understand.
With the collaboraion of Guy Body and Rafael Barajas “el Fisgón”
