In a restricted access area of the former headquarters of the Republican Bank (BROU), where part of the Montevideo Biennial would take place, I discovered a collection of 42 portraits of all the presidents of the bank since its inception.
I proposed to Yamandú Martínez (psychoanalyst) and Carina Infantozzi (semiologist) to have a series of conversations with me in order to analyze each one of the portraits. From this experience a sort of fragmented pictorial inventory of these characters emerged. These were accompanied by notes of extracts from the analyzes.
